Amb. Ikebunwa Fidelis Lotanna has provided full sponsorship for the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) volunteer team that will work alongside law-enforcement agencies to manage traffic across Nnewi during the forthcoming yuletide season.

This development was disclosed in an official communiqué issued by the Police Community Relations Committee, Area Command Nnewi, and made available to our Correspondent.

The communiqué was jointly signed by the Chairman, PCRC Area Command Nnewi, Hon. Amobi Okonkwo, and the Secretary, Hon. Ugochukwu Ofordile.

In the statement, the Committee expressed deep appreciation to Ambassador Ikebunwa Fidelis Lotanna, who is the Managing Director of Pwan Palm Real Estate, a leading real-estate firm in South-Eastern Nigeria.

The PCRC commended him for his unwavering commitment to community development and public welfare, noting that his generous support will significantly enhance traffic control and public safety during the festive period.

According to the communiqué, the sponsorship will empower the PCRC volunteer team to effectively assist security agencies in ensuring smooth vehicular movement and reducing traffic congestion along major roads and commercial areas within Nnewi.

This, the Committee noted, will contribute to a safer, calmer, and more orderly environment for residents and visitors during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The PCRC further called on residents of Nnewi and neighbouring communities to cooperate fully with traffic wardens and other security personnel by obeying traffic rules and lawful directives, stressing that collective compliance is essential for a peaceful and enjoyable festive season.

Additionally, the Committee appealed to other well-meaning individuals, philanthropists, and corporate organizations to emulate this gesture by offering support and collaboration to security agencies, in order to strengthen effective service delivery during the holidays.

The circular concluded with prayers and goodwill messages, expressing hope that the spirit of unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility will usher in a peaceful, prosperous, and joyful yuletide season for Ndi Nnewi and all residents.
